Bill Mckibben, the worlds foremost proponent for, "going to work," on climate change (see: http://www.350.org/audio-slide show). He will speak in person, in the chapel at Warren Wilson College on Wednesday October 6th at 7:00pm. Mr Mckibben has authored many articles and books on global warming starting in 1989 with,"The End of Nature." This book has been republished, translated and updated many times and remains a standard reference. He is currently organizing the second Global Day of Action to be held world-wide, through the internet, on October 10th (http://www.350.org). This talk, sponsored by the Environmental Leadership Center at Warren Wilson, is an opportunity to grasp the reality of global warming and to receive a hopeful message for our working to moderate it.
