A recent PSR sponsored forum in Washington titled, “Steps to Zero,” promoted the final US ratification of the Comprehensive Test Ban Treaty, working with the Non-Proliferation Treaty and its ultimate goal of eliminating nuclear weapons and negotiating with Russia for real verifiable reductions in both nations nuclear arsenals. Power Point presentations are to be available for physician and for general public audiences.
PSR and other organizations were successful in striking another fifty billion dollars in nuclear energy subsidies from the stimulus package on the basis of its being a huge environmental liability and financial risk.
