Bob reviewed the scheduling for submission of guest columns to the Asheville Citizen Times.
Bob noted a report by Episcopal Bishop Bill Swing on his Vatican trip Nov. 8 - 11, 2017 to attend a nuclear conference called by Pope Francis. Swing is founder in 1995 of United Religions Initiative now active in 102 countries with 802 community groups. Numerous statesmen and former national & internationally known figures from many countries attended and contributed. A quote from Pope Francis,
" [Nuclear weapons] cannot constitute the basis for peaceful coexistence between members of the human family, which must rather be inspired by the ethics of solidarity". Bob noted that the report is extremely interesting & well worth reading to find such high level support for abolishing nuclear weapons.
